Well Baby Visit

As recommended by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, your child should visit the dentist by his or her first birthday. This early visit is what we refer to as a “Well Baby Visit”.

At this appointment, parents receive valuable guidance on caring for their child’s teeth, promoting cavity-free habits, and monitoring healthy dental development. Your child will have their first oral exam, and you'll learn proper brushing techniques tailored to your child’s age and needs.

We Love Babies!

What to Expect

The Well Baby Visit is designed to be gentle, informative, and stress-free. Our team creates a calm and welcoming environment for both parent and child. During the visit, we will:

  • Review your child’s medical and dental history

  • Evaluate oral growth and development, including how teeth are erupting and the health of the gums

  • Assess for any early signs of tooth decay or other dental concerns

  • Discuss diet and nutrition and how it affects dental health

  • Demonstrate age-appropriate brushing and flossing techniques

  • Answer your questions about teething, pacifier use, thumb-sucking, fluoride, and more

Prevention Starts Early

We believe prevention starts early—and this first visit is more than just a checkup. It’s a chance to set your child on the path to a lifetime of healthy habits, confident smiles, and positive experiences at the dentist. By starting early, you’re helping to prevent problems before they start and building a strong foundation for your child’s oral health.

Call us today to schedule your child’s Well Baby Visit—we can’t wait to welcome you both and be part of your little one’s smile journey!
