Our Staff

In our office, we take pride in our staff. The ladies who work for Smiles For Kids are an integral part of your child’s success during his or her dental visits. From the first greeting when you walk in, to the last minute “goodbyes” they will make your visit comfortable, easy and fun.

Please remember that we work as a team so the following descriptions are the usual way of our office dynamics, but all the ladies are cross trained and you might be seeing them help each other to make your wait time short and your child’s visit comfortable.

When you first phone call or the first time you walk in, our front office ladies, Carrie and Jessica, will welcome you with their smiles. They will help you fill out the forms and set up your appointments. They will also be the ones who help you with your insurance claims, give you your estimates and help you figure out the financial aspect of your child’s treatment. Malgosia will assist Carrie and Jessica at busy times, but mostly she does much work behind the scenes of the office.

For all your checkup appointments you will be seeing our wonderful dental hygienist, Rae. She will walk your child through the entire appointment. She will start with showing your child the dental equipment, explaining to him or her how everything works, and taking his or her x-rays. She has over 20 years of experience in dental hygiene and is wonderful with children. She will also go over all the important aspects of prevention, brushing, flossing, and answer most of your questions. As a parent, you will have plenty of time to meet with her and discuss all your concerns.

Stefanie is our second hygienist. Sometimes she will be the one cleaning your child’s teeth, but most of the time she is busy being the office manager. You will see her in action presenting treatment plans, helping you decide on the order of treatment, assisting with taking x-rays, and overall taking care of just about everything in the office. She is an extremely valuable source of information since she has been working in our office for the past 13 years so stop her any time to talk to her.

Our two amazing dental assistants are Martina and Yvette. Martina has been in our office for the past 10 years and knows all there is to know about dental assisting. Yvette has been with us for over two years, and she brings fun and optimism to the whole staff. Recently they have both earned dental assisting certifications through examination. Both of these ladies are wonderful with children and make their appointments fun and easy. You will be seeing them mostly on the appointments that require dental work such as fillings or extractions. They will come to the waiting room to bring your child into the office, they will give you post operative instructions, and they will answer all your questions about the appointment.
