Our Staff

In our office, we take pride in our staff. The ladies who work for Smiles For Kids are an integral part of your child'’s success during his or her dental visits. From the first greeting when you walk in, to the last minute “goodbyes” they will make your visit comfortable, easy and fun.

Please remember that we work as a team so the following descriptions are the usual way of our office dynamics, but all the ladies are cross trained and you might be seeing them help each other to make your wait time short and your child'’s visit comfortable.

Whether you call or walk in the door of our office, you will be welcomed warmly by Carrie or Marie. They will help you fill out forms and set up your appointments. They also are experts in answering insurance related questions and presenting finanical aspects of your child's dental care. Malgosia will assist Carrie and Marie at busy times, but she mostly works behind the scenes of the office. Kasia takes care of the checking out process and helps with many front desk duties. She is also learning the maze on insurance and can assist you with many questions.

All the kids see, Michele, our wonderful dental hygienist for their dental cleanings. She walks them through the entire appointment step-by-step. She starts with a "show and tell" of our dental equipment, x-rays and details of the appointment. Michele is wonderful with children and your little one will appreciate her gentle approach and her sense of humor. She is also your guide to oral health at home with expertise in prevention of cavities, brushing and flossing. Michele is always available and will make time to meet with each and every parent to discuss oral hygiene and any concerns you may have.

Stefanie is our second hygienist. Sometimes she will be the one cleaning your child'’s teeth, but most of the time she is busy being the office manager. You will see her in action presenting treatment plans, helping you decide on the order of treatment, assisting with taking x-rays, and overall taking care of just about everything in the office. She keeps the office going by making back stage arrangements, orders, and keeping us all on track. She is an extremely valuable source of information since she has been working in our office for the past 17 years so stop her any time to talk to her.

Our three amazing dental assistants are Martina, Yvette, and Xochitl. Martina has been in our office for the past 14 years and knows all there is to know about dental assisting. Yvette has been with us for over six years, and she brings fun and optimism to the whole staff. Xochitl joined Smiles for Kids few months ago when she moved here from North Carolina and we love having her. She has many years of pediatric dental experience and is hard not to love! All three of these ladies have earned dental assisting certifications through a rigorous examination process. They are wonderful with children and make their appointments fun and easy. They assist the hygienist during check up appointments and take on a leading role during appointments involving fillings, extractions or any other dental procedures. They will come to the waiting room to bring your child into the office, they will give you post operative instructions, and they will answer all your questions about the appointment.

Now that you have met most of the staff, feel free to call them by name and ask them any questions that you might have!
